Business Travel Tips for Tri-State Executives
15 Years of Executive Travel Knowledge
Since 2009, UNIQ RYDE chauffeurs have driven hundreds of thousands of miles across the tri-state area. Here are the tips they'd share with every executive.
Airport Tips
- JFK Terminal 4: International arrivals take 30-45 minutes from landing to curbside. Give your chauffeur your flight number — they'll track and time it
- EWR Terminal C: The walk from C gates to pickup is 10+ minutes. Text your chauffeur when you're at baggage claim
- LGA: The new Terminal B is beautiful but pickup logistics are still evolving. Follow your chauffeur's text instructions precisely
- TEB: If you fly private, always have your FBO confirm your arrival with UNIQ RYDE dispatch. Tail-side pickups require FBO coordination
Traffic Patterns
- I-95 Connecticut: Worst 7-9 AM and 4-7 PM. The Merritt is your friend during peak I-95 hours
- George Washington Bridge: Upper level is slightly faster in mornings. Lower level clears earlier in evenings
- Lincoln Tunnel: Fastest mid-day. Avoid 8-9:30 AM and 5-7 PM
- Fridays to the Hamptons: Leave before 2 PM or wait until 8 PM. There is no middle ground
Productivity Tips
- Treat your commute as an office: With a chauffeur driving, your 45-minute commute is 45 minutes of uninterrupted work time
- Take calls in the car: No one can tell you're in a car on a Zoom if the vehicle is quiet enough (hint: Mercedes S-Class)
- Use AutoPilot: The less time you spend booking rides, the more time you spend on actual work
